Nexium Control Tablets 20mg is used in adults for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (for example, heartburn and acid regurgitation).
Reflux is the backflow of acid from the stomach into the gullet (“foodpipe”) which may become inflamed and painful. This may cause you symptoms such as a painful sensation in the chest rising up to your throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation).
Nexium Control is not meant to bring immediate relief. You may need to take the tablets for 2-3 days in a row before you feel better. You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 14 days.

General Information:Nexium Control is a proton pump inhibitor that helps to stop acid from being produced. This means that it works to stop stomach acid from being absorbed. Nexium Control is used in adults and children for short-term relief of frequent heartburn and acid reflux. It is also used in adults and children for short-term relief of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and the symptoms of heartburn and acid reflux. Take Nexium Control as prescribed by your doctor. You may take this medicine with or without food. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Ingredients:Active ingredient: esomeprazole (or similar names as sucralfate). This may be broken down further into its inactive ingredients as needed. Directions:Nexium Control is for use by mouth only, but may be taken with or without food. It is taken once a day. The recommended dose is one tablet a day.
Adults and Children 12 Years and Older:Take 1 tablet a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Take Nexium Control exactly as prescribed. Continue to take Nexium Control for the prescribed length of time but not more than 4 weeks. Do not take more or less of it or take it for longer than 4 weeks. If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your usual time.
Warnings:Do not take Nexium Control if you are allergic to esomeprazole or any of the ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any further questions.
